SSP Biography: Kesavan Shanmugam

Kesavan Shanmugam was born in Vellore, India in 1971. He received his degree in Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Madras, India. He is currently a graduate student and a graduate research fellow at the Dept. of Computer and Information Science at Univ. of Oregon, USA. His areas of interests include Parallel programming, Compilers for parallel languages, Runtime systems for parallel languages and Performance analysis of parallel programs. He is currently a member of the SAGE/pC++ development team at Univ. of Oregon and is responsbile for developing a performance extrapolation tool called XtraP for pC++, a parallel C++ language.
