Bill was born October 21, 1973 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He lived in the same little suburb of Broken Arrow his entire childhood, graduating from high school with highest honors and a wonderful National Merit Scholarship in 1991. Off to college he went!

And what an experience for him it was. There, at the University of Oklahoma, he was quickly introduced to the wonderful world of the Internet and digital-everything. Though working officially on an Aerospace Engineering degree, Bill did all of the programming he could and tinkered as much as possible while finding time to fall in love and marry his dream-girl, Jennifer Elisabeth Gerber. Anyway, his typing speed grew exponentially, and a graduate program using computer and engineering skills seemed more and more likely. It was also at OU that he took his first steps into the hyperlinked world of HTML!

Into our story comes the National Science Foundation, which is giving Bill a NSF Graduate Research Fellowship to play with the computers he loves at the Minnesota Supercomputer Institute, a branch of the University of Minnesota. He will be working towards a PhD as a student in the Graduate Program in Scientific Computation. Nowadays Bill can be found here!
